DAVID ROBINSON writes about the rediscovery and restoration of the 1922 BEYOND THE ROCKS,  which uniquely teamed the superstars of the moment, Rudolph Valentino and Gloria Swanson.  Based on a torrid romance by the English novelist Elinor Glyn, it turns out to be less than a masterpiece.
